10 Things I love about you..

I was reading some literature on self esteem the other day and it talked about making a list of 10 things you love about yourself. I kind of thought this would be pretty easy until I tried to do it!

We larger ladies tend to look in the mirror and think 'I am too fat', 'I hate my tummy/legs/bum', 'I wish I looked like.....' etc.. This is stinking thinking at its best.

So, today I challenge you (and myself) to make a list of 10 things you love about you, things I began with were 'I like my hair', and 'I have nice eyes', you can use these too if you agree.

Good luck and take your time on this one, it will be worth it.

Wow, doesnt it make you feel glad to be alive this weather huh?! What a glorious day, which will be spend doing my garden and possibly a late afternoon barbecue. Its amazing what a bit of sun can do for your spirits, shame it cant be like this every day....

Welcome!

What more can I say but Welcome! This is a size acceptance blog for women. I welcome you sizeable sisters with open arms as I try to share with you my journey of self acceptance. The way I figure it, God has given me this body, and if I treat it right and look after it the best I can then who has the right to judge it if its fabulously fat?! Least of all ME!

I am tired of feeling put down and out of town for being a bigger than the media accepted woman. I am tired of looking at and trying countless 'witch doctor' remedies for this illness which is size. I am tired of settling for ill fitting clothing because the clothing industry cant cater for a larger woman, you can all manage a straight up and down for the twigs though, huh?!

I have found some wonderful inspiration in sizeable divas and I proudly display them in my Hall of Fame to the right of the page, these are strong determined women who look amazing, they are the true meaning of a Sizeable Diva.
